Playdough is such a fun way to learn:

  • rolling playdough into balls helps strengthen fine motor skills
  • squishing, pinching, molding are all great ways to develop finger muscles
  • providing tools like plastic knife, cutters and rolling pin can help them practice important life skills
  • playdough is a great way to calm and reset emotions
  • exploring the soft texture is an easy sensory play
  • Language development – learn new words as they play like flatten, squish, have them talk about what they are making, the textures they are feeling etc

  • First, print out our free printable (scroll down to get your copy)
  • You can either find matching playdough colors to add an extra color matching element (we are using wild dough – use code LEARNING10 for a discount) or you can just use any color you have at home!
  • Have your little ones count and roll the playdough into balls to fill in the ice cream cones
  • When they have finished filling up the page, have them use their fingers to squish and coutn each one again!
