In a crunch for time? Not sure what to do with your toddler? Here are our favorite simple setup activities that you can try! They require only a few materials and take a few minutes to setup!
Popsicle Stick Matching
All you need are popsicle sticks and stickers! Pair your popsicle sticks and then stick your sticker on top. Simply cut down the middle and have your toddler match the popsicle sticks.
Block Color Matching
Already have a bunch of blocks? Grab some paper and color them based on the blocks you have. Then ask your toddler to stack the blocks to match each card! You can make it as simple or as challenging as you need.
Popsicle Stick Velcro Shapes
Take jumbo popsicle sticks and add velcro dots to the ends. Easy way to create a new tool for your toddler to build and learn shapes with!
Color Sorting
We are using our colored silicone baking cups but you can use any bowls/cups you have. Simply provide your toddler with colored objects and have them sort accordingly.
Q-tip painting flowers
Need a new way to paint? Wrap up 5-6 q-tips with an elastic band and have your toddlers dip and paint to create pretty flowers!
Block matching
Use a dry erase marker to turn your blocks into a quick learning matching activity!
Playdough Cutting
Have a toddler who wants to practice cutting? Roll out some playdough logs and give them a plastic knife to practice!
Alphabet Matching
Write out the alphabet on a sheet of paper and have your toddlers find and match each letter!
Bubble wrap painting
Wrap a roller with bubble wrap and you have a quick and fun new way of painting!
Color Sorting
Draw circles with different colors on a sheet of paper, cardboard or foam and provide your toddler with colored objects to match. They can also use dot markers or stamp each circle.
