The word symmetry comes from a Greek word that means ‘to measure together’ and is all around us.
Symmetry is a fun topic to teach our kids and here is a super easy way to do so!

Then simply hold a mirror on the dotted lines (make sure it is straight) and check to see if the picture looks normal! Are both sides the same?
Another way to try this, is to cut out the pictures and fold them down the dotted lines – are both sides the same?
