Bilateral coordination is a very important skill for kids to practice.
Bilateral means “both sides.” Bilateral coordination is using both sides of the body together in an activity. Many daily self-care and play activities require bilateral coordination skills.

For this one, simply print out the pages and cut out the hands.
We like to use painters tape to put the hands up on a wall.
Then have your little ones try to mimic the hand positions they see!
For younger toddlers, start with open and closed hand positions. First practice using one hand to get used to the symbols. Then practice with the other hand. Finally combine both and try them together!
For older preschoolers, try using the counting hands for a challenge!
