Here’s a fun and easy way to level up your I-Spy activity – by using mystery water!
What is mystery water?
Let me tell you!
It is a cloudy water made up of water & cornstarch which makes it easy to hide things inside!
For this activity, we used the following:
- clear plastic tray
- free I-Spy printable (scroll down to download)
- a drop of dish soap
- paint in your choice of color
- cornstarch
- glass cup
Print out our I-Spy printable (or draw your own) and tape it to a table. Play a clear tray (or baking dish) on top. Pour in water, add some paint, dish soap and cornstarch, and mix until you get cloudy water. Then, simply move a glass cup around in the water to find the pictures!

After you are done finding the pictures, simply extend the activity by adding some scoops and cups for some water play!
